Calhoun Academy’s Lady Cougars have opened the season 5-2. They defeated North Delta last week 49-41.
Casey Moss led with 21 points. Ashley Logan added 10 and Hunter Roberson eight.
“It’s been difficult finding a rhythm because we’ve had such large gaps in between games,” Coach Lee Hazelwood said. “I believe we’re going to get a lot better.”
The Cougars have only played two games thus far under new head coach Bryan Nixon. They lost to North Delta last week 27-20. Todd Harrell led with 13 points. In their only other game, Harrell scored 25 points in a 37-34 loss to Humphreys.
