Bruce Trojans pitcher Wesley Ross signed a scholarship this morning to continue his baseball career at Mississippi Delta Community College.
Ross, the son of David and Monica Ross, was the Trojans' top pitcher and hitter last season. He finished the year with a .400 batting average, .600 OBP and 19 stolen bases. He recorded 33 strikeouts on the mound and was named team MVP.
Ross played with Team Mississippi in the Junior Sunbelt Classic last summer where he had a batting average of .556 and a WHIP of 1.25.
Ross also excelled in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA, scoring 24 on his ACT and earning Scholar Athlete award from BHS.
He's also started at QB the past two seasons for the Bruce Trojans earning all region honors.
