Both Bruce teams will open the district tournament at East Webster next Monday night in must-win games.
The Lady Trojans will face Okolona at 6 p.m. with the winner advancing and the season ending for the loser. The teams split their two games in the regular season.
The Trojans, 4-17, will play East Webster at 7:30 p.m. in another win or go home matchup. Bruce won their only meeting this year.
If the Lady Trojans win, they would face host and top seed East Webster Tuesday night at 7 p.m. If the Bruce boys win, they would face top-seeded Calhoun City Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Both Bruce teams lost at New Albany last week. Makesha Harris scored 11 and Abbie Patton 10 in the girls’ 71-31 loss. Tyrique Gunn scored 16 in the boys’ 81-45 loss.
