Yarnell Marks, left, of Bruce, opened the 2014 USPA powerlifting season with a win in Fulton last weekend.
Marks earned 1st in the 198 weight class open division raw (no wraps). Marks’ lifts included a 507 pound squat, 347 pound bench and a 540 pound deadlift. Marks next meet will be in Defuniak Springs, Florida for APA Raw Nationals April 12. He is pictured with his son Latrell Marks.
