Multiple county baseball teams picked up a win this week, including Vardaman who got its first win of the season.
Vardaman opened the week with a 15-0 loss to Calhoun City. The Wildcats picked up the run-rule win in five innings of play, led by Preston Conlee and Justyn Gordon with three RBIs apiece. Gordon also hit a home run on the evening. Jackson Lee and Payton Chandler saw action on the mound, combining for seven strikeouts.

The Rams got in the win column later in the week, however, when they played host to Okolona to start division play. Calhoun Academy also played one game last week, picking up a win over Tunica Academy 10-5. Haze Vandlandingham had four RBIs, and Coben Parker pushed across two. Zane Ragon and Logan Stewart were the Cougar pitchers, combining for six strikeouts.
