Bruce’s Austin Faddock is taking his baseball talents to the Mississippi University for Women next spring.
Faddock signed with the Owls on Monday and is looking forward to his time in Columbus as a student athlete, something he has aimed for since his youth.
“It’s a dream come true,” Faddock said. “Ever since I was a little kid, I always wanted to play college ball, and now it’s finally happening.”
Although Faddock is naturally gifted, he claims it took time and practice to get him to where he is now in signing with The W.

“It took hours and hours in the cage and out, during practice and after,” Faddock said. “[My coaches] helped me a lot to get through it. I’m just happy to be here.”
As far as what he is most looking forward to about his college experience, Faddock is excited about developing new friendships.
“Getting to meet new people and getting in classes and a new atmosphere,” Faddock said. “Everything is going to be new to me.”
As of now, Faddock is listed as a utility player, but he stated that he expects to spend most of his time at either shortstop or center field.
