The high school basketball season will tip-off Saturday, Nov. 2 at Calhoun City High School as the Wildcats host the annual Leonard Holland Classic.
The Vardaman Lady Rams will take on Nettleton in the first game of the day at 11 a.m.
Houston and Coffeeville will then matchup in a girls’ game at 12:30 p.m. and a boys’ game at 2 p.m.
The Bruce Trojans will take to the floor at 3:30 p.m. against Oxford.
Calhoun City and Charleston will then round out the day’s action with the lady Wildcats playing at 5 p.m. and the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.
Calhoun City will return to action next Tuesday against Houston.
The Wildcat basketball teams are continuing to fund raise for a December trip to Washington D.C. where they will play several games. Last week they received a $500 donation from Cannon Motors. Anyone wanting to donate toward the team’s trip can do so by contact Coach Daren Coffey at 662-983-0039.
