Calhoun City started out on a sour note in a 17-7 loss against East Webster but rebounded in a big way rattling off three-straight wins to close out the seven-day stretch, a 10-5 decision over French Camp and doubleheader wins over Palmer by a combined score of 38-4.
Raven Arrington continued her recent tear for the Lady Wildcats with three home runs this week, two of which came against French Camp, and 8 RBIs. In all, Calhoun City hit six home runs this week coming from four different players.

North of the Skuna River in Bruce, the Lady Trojans only had one game since the last edition of the CCJ, an 8-1 loss at the hands of Vardaman. Bruce’s lone RBI came off the bat of Landry Dishman in the sixth inning.

Caroline Casey of Vardaman got one hit in three at-bats but drove in three runs against the Lady Trojans. Freshman Maddie Terrell also drove in a run on a solo home run.
Vardaman went a 2-0 this week on the diamond as they beat Eupora 7-3 on Tuesday and won the aforementioned game against Bruce on Thursday. Five different Lady Rams tallied RBIs in their game against Eupora, including Maddie Terrell who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Calhoun Academy stuck to their winning ways as well this week as they went 2-0 and outscored their opponents 19-2.
In the Lady Cougars’ Tuesday matchup against Delta Academy, Grayce Baker went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in the 8-1 final.
Baker also drove home two runs in CA’s win over Humphreys Academy on Monday, joined by teammate Georgia Ellard who went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored as the Lady Cougars won the game 11-1 in four innings.
