Cameron Clarke, of Pittsboro, qualified for the top five spots for the first Mississippi State University golf tournament.
The tournament will be held at Kiawah Isaland (Ocean Course) in Charleston, South Carolina Sept. 11-12.
Clarke, a former state champion for the Bruce Trojans and a freshman at MSU, shot 72, 73, 75, 75, 69 and 68 for a six round even par to put him in the number four spot on the MSU team.
Qualifying was held at Old Waverly and Mossy Oak golf courses in West Point.
Clarke is the son of Allan and Tiffany Clarke of Pittsboro.
