Calhoun City won one of four games over the past week with the victory coming over rival Vardaman.
The Wildcats defeated the Rams 6-0 last Thursday with Jordan England earning the win.
Friday they hosted Houston and suffered a 19-3 loss. Ryne Lee took the loss.
They were on the road Saturday where they lost two – 9-7 to Water Valley and 11-2 to Independence. Colby Havens and Brooks Goodson pitched those games. Havens and Rainer Nichols each had two hits against Water Valley. Colby Havens had two hits against Independence.
“We played some very tough teams. Those games should really help prepare us for our division,” Coach Josh Miller said.
The Wildcats are scheduled to host Hickory Flat Friday night and will begin play Saturday in the East Webster Tournament, including a 3 p.m. matchup with Bruce.
