Luke Stewart and Sutton Gore, both of Bruce, won two tournament championships in the month of March.
Their team, Yalobusha Giants 7U, won a championship in last weekend’s Early Bird Classic at Snowden Grove in Southaven going 5-0 in route to a championship. Two weeks earlier they played in Tupelo also going 5-0 to secure a championship. The team is currently ranked number 1 in the country in USSSA power ratings out of more than 250 7U teams. Luke Stewart and Sutton Gore are members of the team which is coached by Chad Stewart, Dallas Gore, Mark Bledsoe and Lee Franklin.
