Jo Gray struck out 10 and allowed only two hits in a complete game 5-0 shutout of Noxapater.
Gray also had two hits at the plate and a pair of RBIs to help his own cause. Brandon Clanton and Hayden Goodson also drove in runs.
The Wildcats rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat French Camp 5-4.
Walker Hardin had two RBIs for the Wildcats. Lane Devall pitched six innings for ‘City striking out four.
Tuesday afternoon the Wildcats defeated Winona 13-1. Nichols led ‘City with three hits. Wade and Gray each had two. Jobi Cook drove in three runs.
Gray earned the win on the mound striking out seven in five innings of work.
‘City hosts South Pontotoc at 11 a.m. Saturday and Vardaman at 1 p.m.
