The Cougars open the home slate Thursday night when they host Grace Christian.
Coach Bryan Nixon’s team returned two starters from last year – Caleb Hill and John Riley Wilbanks – as well as Andrew Haas who saw lots of time on the court last season.
“We’re going to be young, but it’s a talented group,” Nixon said. “I think it’s a realistic goal for us to aim for the top two in the district. Kemper is going to be really good.”
The Cougars’ home games will start at approximately 6 p.m. as the school did not have enough girls interested in playing to have a Lady Cougars team.
The Cougars have two other home games scheduled prior to Christmas – North Sunflower on Dec. 5 and Humphreys on Dec. 16.
