Calhoun Academy won at Central Academy in Macon Tuesday 12-8 in extra innings.

Forrest Shoemaker started and pitched five innings, giving up six runs on two hits and walked two. Todd Harrell pitched the last four innings and earned the win. He allowed two runs on no hits with 11 strikeouts and four walks.
Shoemaker had two hits at the plate, but it was Beau Walker who also had two, including a 2-run home run. Scott Shankle, Todd Harrell, Dalton Poynor and Drew Enochs each had one hit each.
The Cougars will finish the season with a pair of home games – Kemper at home Tuesday and Central at home Thursday, weather permitting.
